Well worth a look
Didn't get to see inside museum as I was only there to refuel. I will go back to check out the whole town soon though... It looks nice from the air :)
Some great exhibits here but still very much a workshop rather than an exhibition space. Very promising start though so I hope it can be developed further into a tourism destination with more open days, a cafe, shop, etc.
If you're into aircraft, this little collection is well worth the visit & Parkes is a loverly town.
The volunteers at the Parkes Aviation Museum really went above and beyond in explaining the details of the exhibits and aircraft on display. The museum is only open two days a week, but definitely worth planning a visit around those days.
