Overpriced for basic accommodation - i suspect for end of Parkes' annual elvis festival. Apart from sharing the carm
Would not recommend this place at all. Cabins old,smelly,and not clean at all. Find another place to stay.
Visited this place in February. Upon arrival the owner greeted us and was warm and welcoming, he had also made the effort to put the airconditioning on for us before arrival so we would be comfortable in Australian summer. He also had pride and enthusiasm in Parkes which made the stay so exciting and he told us about all the local sight seeing opportunities. Extremely great customer service and reasonable price for what we got. Also walking distance to the local pubs and dinner venues.
Extremely friendly and helpful staff, spotless amenities, good location near Parkes pubs and train station. Very basic park, could definitely use a tidy up.
The only thing that was good was the price, we must have been given the most dirtiest van on site, it smelt, floors were dirty and carpet stains all over, nothing has been cleaned over and the outside was covered with spiders. It's not a flash place by all means, the grass was long on the property and the shower/toilet block was also dirty, walls in the shower look like they haven't been cleaned in a while. It wasn't a good experience though the Chinese owner was pleasant. Stayed two nights but was glad to leave, disgraceful condition of the van, the linen smelt. You could see it was not clean.UPDATE After a visit to the doctor I caught bed bugs from the mattress as I started to itch a few days later and red spots and lumps appeared. I contacted the owner and when I mentioned health dept he went on a triad of abuse. Said I should have checked the van before we booked it. I'm not surprised by that comment coming from an asian, doesn't want to take responsibility. That was our experience. Know not to go there again.
